Everything listed here ships in the current public build. Modules still in beta are labelled as such.
Deterministic statistics engine
Descriptive statistics, Welch's t-test, one-way ANOVA, Mann-Whitney U, Kruskal-Wallis, Pearson and Spearman correlation, and 2×2 measures with odds ratio, risk ratio, risk difference and confidence intervals. No model sits in the computation path.
Data extraction that survives real spreadsheets
Comma, semicolon and tab separated files, unusual line endings, thousands separators and inconsistent missing-value markers are detected and flagged rather than silently misread.
Validation before analysis
Validate Sheet resolves type conflicts and plan mismatches up front. Variables your proposal names are matched against what is actually in the sheet, so nothing is reported missing when it is already there.
Figures generated from saved results
Charts Studio renders publication-quality figures directly from the results you computed, which means a figure cannot drift out of step with the table it came from.
Four literature databases, one query
PubMed, OpenAlex, Crossref and Semantic Scholar are searched in parallel, duplicate records are merged into a single entry, and results are ranked with the metadata each source contributed.
Export that handles real names
Word and PDF export render Arabic with correct font and reading direction, and accented European names correctly. When PDF cannot draw a script it says so and offers Word instead of silently emitting question marks.
Local by default
Research projects, datasets and participant rows are stored on your device. Aggregate statistics are computed locally — individual participant rows are never sent anywhere.
Verifiable updates
Each release publishes a SHA-256 for every artifact, and the in-app updater checks the release metadata before it offers an update. You can verify any download by hand.

OrbitLab 0.1.7-beta. Data Extraction no longer reports conflicts that cannot be cleared. When your research plan names a variable that is already in your extraction sheet - for example a bedtime or sleep duration question saved under a short name - it is now recognised instead of being listed as missing, so Validate Sheet and Resolve Conflicts can be completed and your statistics can run. Across the app, keyboard focus is now clearly visible, status colours and small text are easier to read, headings and report previews use consistent typography, and the Account page and the signup notice now show only real, accurate information. Your local research projects always remain on this device.
